Please complete the following application in order to be considered by the Rice Access and Opportunity Portal (AOP) Committee. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Please be aware that not all requests can be funded. Prior to submitting your application, make sure that you have reviewed the funding stipulations located on the Access and Opportunity Portal website including the FAQ page. The Rice Access and Opportunity Portal Committee will review the application for a final decision. Upon review of your application, the committee will ask you to meet with a representative to review your request and may ask you to submit supporting documentation, such as an itemized budget, quote on service and or receipts, textbook list with cost.
AOP requests will be followed up within three business days of application submission. Business days are Monday-Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. As a note, during high peak times such as the beginning of each semester, the normal response time will be delayed. Also, for the Spring 2023 semester, unfortunately, AOP will not be considering or processing requests that involve reimbursements.
